The Texas Repertory Theatre's first season theme was "Believe" , and the shows chosen highlited the outstanding theatre talent and commitment to offering the finest in theatrical entertainment. The season opened on February 17th, 2006 and was chock full of classics, from the Pulitzer Prize winning humor and wisdom of Thornton Wilder's Our Town, through John Stenbeck's touching depression-era drama Of Mice & Men, to William Shakespeare's dazzling comedy A Midsummer Nights Dream. Rounding out the first season was the audience pleasing musical Forever Plaid, celebrating the smooth vocal harmony groups of the 1950's.
